Commitment - It's really cold outside

It's really cold outside. It's been raining all day. In some places of the state, it's snowing but fortunately, where I live, it doesn't snow.
Every morning at 6:30, I walk with a friend. She drives over with her dogs and bundled up in our hats and mittens, we walk through the quiet neighborhood watching the morning come alive. Getting out of bed is not so comfortable, especially at times of year when it is still dark out, but once I'm up and the tea kettle is humming, the colors begin to streak across the sky and I have to admit that I feel happy.
When Lorna arrives, my dog goes nuts. Sam is as big as a great dane and he gets so excited, that he nearly knocks her over. Lorna is one of his all time favorite people, and mine.
It's really cold outside but we get ourselves out of our warm beds and walk anyway. By the time we get home, we always share how glad we are that one more morning, we got out of bed and didn't let the cold weather stop us.
